March Memories and Magical Wedding Inspiration
Back in March, I had the pleasure of attending the Wedding Showcase at the beautiful Bert’s Barrow . What a gorgeous day it was! The sun was shining, the sky was clear, and love was most definitely in the air.
As soon as you arrive, you’re greeted by the charm of the first barn, right at the main entrance. This welcoming space is ideal for guests to gather before the ceremony. It’s full of rustic character and a real sense of countryside charm.
One of the highlights of the venue has to be the outdoor ceremony space. Set against stunning open views of the North Yorkshire landscape, it’s the perfect setting for an alfresco “I do.” It felt like a little pocket of paradise with the sun glaring down — calm, romantic, and full of possibility.
If the weather isn’t on your side, or if you’re looking for a cosy, intimate indoor setting, the main barn is just as beautiful. It’s wonderfully versatile — great for your ceremony or your wedding breakfast.
And of course, no wedding is complete without a good boogie! The third barn is just the place to dance the night away, creating the perfect finale to a magical day.
As part of the fayre, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting a wide range of talented local suppliers. From photographers and florists to cake makers, stylists, and wedding illustrators. The creativity and passion on display was truly inspiring. It was wonderful to see how each supplier brought their own unique style and energy to the space.
