Last Sunday, I had the absolute pleasure of exhibiting at Hazlewood Castle’s Wedding Fayre. Nestled in the Yorkshire countryside, this breathtaking venue is steeped in history and charm. It is a dream location for weddings. From the moment I arrived in the car park, I knew I was in for a special day.
As I made my way from the car park, up towards the castle entrance, I couldn’t help but smile when I spotted a tiny fairy door tucked away. A magical little detail that set the tone for the whole experience. Walking up the path towards the grand entrance, I felt the excitement building for the day ahead.
Inside, I was greeted by the warmth and elegance of the Flemish Hall before heading to the Old Dining Room. I took time to set up my stand and was ready to go! This room holds so much history and is where many couples choose to say their vows. It’s always such an honour to be part of a couple’s special journey in a place like this.
The fayre was bustling with energy from the moment the doors opened. I had so many wonderful conversations with couples at different stages of their wedding planning. Some just beginning their journey, others finalising the last details. It was fantastic to chat about their visions for their ceremonies, and share how I can help create something truly personal and meaningful for their big day.
One of the best things about attending a wedding fayre is meeting fellow suppliers. From photographers and make-up artists to musicians and cake designers, the room was filled with so much talent and creativity. We even had a Mind Magician and a Magic Photo Mirror! It’s always inspiring to connect with others who are just as passionate about making wedding days magical as I am. I had a quick chance to take a peek into the Great Dining Hall, another incredible space within the castle, perfect for a grand wedding celebration.
The day flew by, and before I knew it, it was time to pack up. I left Hazlewood Castle feeling so grateful. Not just for the opportunity to exhibit, but for all the lovely couples I met and the inspiring suppliers I connected with! If you were there and stopped by my stand, thank you!
